The Boeotian Banquet is fragmentary κωμῳδία under the name Demonicus. The name Demonicus is the heading.
Later headings also call it ἀπόσπασμα. Two brief passages survive. Plot and persons are not given. The English title names Boeotia.
The verses are likely quotation in later Greek, Athenaeus, Deipnosophistae, among the usual hosts of such lines. They are Greek κωμῳδία in this corpus, not a later type-book.
