The Geographical Fragments on Bithynia is a lost geographical work in verse by Demosthenes of Bithynia, an obscure figure distinct from the Athenian orator of the same name. Known only by its title, it likely consisted of excerpts from a larger poem composed in dactylic hexameter, focusing on the region of Bithynia in northwestern Asia Minor. Based on the conventions of Hellenistic geographical poetry, its probable themes included topographical descriptions of landscapes, cities, and rivers, local foundation myths and legendary history, ethnographic details about the inhabitants, and references to local cults and deities.
