Scholia on Demosthenes: Against Conon by Demosthenes Scholia

Ariston's prosecution of Conon for assault draws three notes. The first sorts proems by their four sources, the speaker, the opponent, the jurors and the matter, citing this speech, Against Meidias, Isocrates' Plataicus and Lycurgus' Against Autolycus. The second records that Hermogenes called the narrative simple, since strong facts need no strong words; the third places the Leocorion, the monument of the daughters of Leos, in the middle of the Ceramicus.
