Aristo of Ceos and the Peripatetic School at Athens

Aristo of Ceos, third century BCE, Peripatetic scholarch at Athens for about eighteen years, likely around 225–190 BCE, successor of Lyco.

None of his writings survive intact. Treatises on ἠθική and perhaps On Old Age are named. He is also reported as a biographer of Lyco. Chrysippus wrote against his ἠθική. Cicero, in Latin, later praised his style.
