Stephanus of Alexandria, late sixth and early seventh centuries CE, is the name this site attaches to a Greek teacher from the Alexandrian school. Emperor Heraclius summoned him to teach in Constantinople on a public stipend.
Books more securely given to him are commentaries on Aristotle's On Interpretation and On the Soul. A treatise on the astrolabe also travels under his name. Alchemical texts under the same name are doubted. Some hosts identify him with a Stephanus of Athens; that identity is not settled.
What this site holds is late Greek commentary under his name, from the move of the Alexandrian reading-list to the new capital, not the doubtful alchemical shelf.
