The Etymologicum Gudianum is an eleventh-century Byzantine etymological lexicon named from a manuscript that belonged to Marquard Gude (now Vaticanus Barberinus graecus 70). Alfredo de Stefani edited the stretch ἀάλιον–ζειαί in two fascicles (Leipzig, 1909 and 1920).
It reworks the Genuinum and other sources into a school lexicon of derivations, often shorter or differently ordered than the Magnum. The surviving alphabet in de Stefani covers alpha through part of zeta.
Gudianus is a name coined from Gude's manuscript, not a person. The lexicon is a principal source for Byzantine etymology in de Stefani's printed Greek.
