Antigonus of Carystus
Ἀντίγονος ὁ Καρύστιος

Antigonus of Carystus on Natural Wonders and Biography

3 works

Antigonus of Carystus, third century BCE, is the name this site attaches to a second Carystian heading: bronze work at Pergamum is in the notices, then writing at Athens.

What this site holds is Collection of Marvelous Histories, Fragments on Natural Wonders, and an Epigram as anecdote in later citation (Plutarch on Pheidias). Diogenes Laertius is a later Greek host for biographical scraps, not this paradoxographical set. It is Greek under this name, not a second copy of the Italic-history slot.
