Healthy Precepts from an Anonymous Late Antique Physician

1 work

The writer of the Healthy Precepts is not named. Later dating places the Greek between the fourth and sixth centuries CE. Copies present it as a work of Asclepiades and Dioscorides; it also travels in the Hippocratic manuscript stream. Neither heading identifies the hand.

What this site holds is this one short book: twelve passages. It is a late Greek compilation under inherited names, not an autograph of Hippocrates of Cos.

The text survives through that Hippocratic collection. No separate ancient commentary is recorded here.
