The name Hippocrates of Cos is the later heading. The writer of the oath is not identified. The Greek is Ionic, most likely of the late fifth or early fourth century BCE.
What this site holds is this one book in the Hippocratic collection: the Hippocratic Oath (Ὅρκος). It calls on Apollo and Ἀσκληπιός.
The historical Hippocrates’s autograph is lost. The text survives in the medieval Hippocratic manuscript stream. It is a Greek ὅρκος under a later heading, not a later code written in its name.
