Κρίτων ὁ Ἀργεῖος
Crito of Argos
1 work

Crito of Argos was a Hellenistic philosopher from Argos active in the 3rd century BCE. No biographical details survive beyond his name and origin. His existence is attested solely by a brief mention in Diogenes Laertius, who lists him among other philosophers named Crito.

His only attested work is the lost treatise On Wealth, recorded by Diogenes Laertius. No content or fragments are preserved.

Crito holds minimal significance due to the complete loss of his work. His inclusion by Diogenes Laertius confirms he was recognized as a philosopher in antiquity, but the absence of any doctrinal summary prevents assessment of his thought. He exemplifies the many minor Hellenistic intellectuals whose writings have not survived.
