Apollodorus of Cyzicus, Pythagorean Testimonia

Apollodorus of Cyzicus is a fifth-century philosopher in Diels–Kranz (vol. 2, p. 246). Clement, Stromateis 2.130, says he held ψυχαγωγία — psychic pleasure — to be the telos. Diogenes Laertius 9.38 says he reported that Democritus associated with Philolaus. Pliny, NH 24.167, names an Apollodorus, follower of a herbalist, for the plant aeschynomene.

The testimonies are a hedonist telos, a Democritus–Philolaus link, and a plant-name — a Cyzicene philosopher, not a missing person.
