Alexander of Tralles on Fevers, Eyes, and Therapeutics

Alexander of Tralles, sixth century CE, was born at Tralles in Asia Minor. The tradition has him at work in Italy, Gaul, Spain, and North Africa before settling in Rome.

What this site holds is Greek under his name: Therapeutics (Θεραπευτικά), the Dedication to Cosmas, On Fevers, On the Eyes, and the Letter on Worms.

These books compile earlier Greek and add what he gathered in travel. A Hippocratic or Hellenistic sentence in them is that earlier Greek, in his mouth.

Latin, Syriac, and Arabic copies are later languages for this material.
