Τρωικά (μῆνιν ἄειδε, θεά, Πηληϊάδεω Ἀχιλῆος) ἣν ἔθετο Χρύσου κεχολωμένος εἵνεκα κούρης (οὐλομένην, ἣ μυρί’ Ἀχαιοῖς ἄλγε’ ἔθηκεν) μαρναμένοις, ὅτε Τρωσὶν ἄτερ πολέμιζον ἄνακτος, (πολλὰς δ’ ἰφθίμους ψυχὰς Ἄϊδι προΐαψεν) Ἕκτορος ἐν παλάμῃσι δαϊζομένων ὑπὸ δουρί
