Εἰς Δημήτραν

  

Δήμητρʼ ἠΰκομον σεμνὴν θεὰν ἄρχομʼ ἀείδειν,  

αὐτὴν καὶ κούρην, περικαλλέα Περσεφόνειαν.  

Χαῖρε θεὰ καὶ τήνδε σάου πόλιν, ἄρχε δʼ ἀοιδῆς.
