SUDA s. v. Διονύσιος Ἀλεξανδρεύς· Θρᾶιξ δὲ ἀπὸ τοῦ πατρὸς Τήρου[τῆρος] τοὔνομα κληθείς, Ἀριστάρχου μαθητής, γραμματικός, ὃς ἐσοφίστευσεν ἐν Ῥώμηι (?) ἐπὶ Πομπηίου τοῦ μεγάλου καὶ ἐξηγήσατο Τυραννίωνι τῶι προτέρωι. συνέταξε δὲ πλεῖστα γραμματικά τε καὶ συνταγματικὰ καὶ ὑπομνήματα.
