Χείλων Περιάνδρῳ.

Ἐπιστέλλεις ἐμὶν ἐκστρατείαν ἐπὶ ἐκδάμως, ὡς αὐτός καὶ ἐξέρποις· ἐγὼν δὲ δοκέω καὶ τὰ οἰκῇα σφαλερὰ ἦμεν ἀνδρὶ μονάρχῳ, καὶ τῆνον τυράννων εὐδαι μονίζω ὅστις καὶ οἴκοι ἐξ αὐτὸς αὑτῶ κατθάνῃ.
