## ΠΕΡΙ ΦΡΥΓΙΑΣ.

Stephan. Byz.: Εὐκαρπία, δῆμος τῆς μικρᾶς Φρυγίας. Ἱστορεῖ Μητροφάνης, τὸν βότρυν ἐκεῖ τοσοῦτον γίνεσθαι τὸ μέγεθος, ὅσον ἅμαξαν ἀπ’ αὐτοῦ σχισθῆναι κατὰ μέσον. Καὶ οὕτως ἐκλήθη διὰ τὸ εὔφορον.

Περὶ αὐτῆς γὰρ οἱ βάρβαροι ἔλεγον ὅτι Δήμητρι καὶ Διονύσῳ Ζεὺς τὴν χώραν τὴν τῶν εὐκάρπων δοίη.
