Schol. Pind. Pyth. III, 59: Ἡ δὲ Βοιβιὰς (λίμνη παρακειμένη τῇ Λακερείᾳ) καὶ Νεσωνὶς ἐλέγετο, ὥσπερ Ἀρχῖνος ἐν Θεσσαλικοῖς. Βοιβιὰς δὲ ἐλέγετο ἀπὸ μιᾶς τῶν νυμφῶν Βοιβηΐδος.

Stephan. Byz.: Δώτιον, πόλις Θεσσαλίας ... ἐκλήθη δὲ ἀπὸ Δωτίας τῆς Ἑλάτου, ... ὡς δὲ Ἀρχῖνος ἀπὸ Δώτου τοῦ Νεώνου τοῦ Ἕλληνος.
